Revelation


"Behold, I am coming soon!
Blessed is he who keeps the words
of the prophecy in this book."

The book of Revelation is the last book of the Holy Bible.  It is a very important book as it explains what will be happening in the end days.  Most theologians agree that we are in the "Church Age" (Rev. Chapters 2 & 3).  The Apostle John was taken up to heaven and given a vision of heaven and of heaven's praises "Worthy is the Lamb" (Rev. Chapters 4 & 5).  From there the Apostle John was shown what must take place.  What is about to take place we call "The Great Tribulation". (Rev. Chapter 6-19). 

 

The book of Revelation can be broken up into the following sections to help us understand and grasp it more completely.

  1. The Introduction (Rev. Chapter 1:1-8)
  2. The Vision of Christ (Rev. Chapter 1:9-20)
  3. The Seven Churches (Rev. Chapters 2 & 3)
  4. The Vision of Heaven (Rev. Chapter 4)
  5. Praises!  Worthy is the Lamb (Rev. Chapter 5)
  6. The Great Tribulation (Rev. Chapters 6 - Chapter 19:14)
  7. The Second Coming of Christ (Rev. Chapters 19:15 - Chapter 20:3)
  8. 1000 Year Reign (Rev. Chapter 20:4-6)
  9. The Devil Released & Thrown into the Lake of Fire (Rev. Chapter 20:7-10)
  10. The White Throne Judgment (Chapter 20:11-15)
  11. The New Heaven, The New Earth, and The New Jerusalem (Chapter 21:1 - Chapter 22:6)
  12. Behold, I come quickly! (Chapter 22; verses 7-21)

IF we believe the Holy Bible is the true word of God, THEN we must believe that there will be a Great Tribulation, Jesus is coming again, there will be a 1000 year reign, the devil will be released and thrown into the Lake of Fire, there will be a White Throne Judgment, the old earth and heaven will pass away and there will be a New Heaven and a New Earth, and a New Jerusalem.  Jesus is coming again, soon!

and blessed are those who hear it and take to heart
